5. Cold Brew - zero hatred because this was a smooth cold brew but it had some tough competition and was the only one I did not finish

The best thing about dining with a group is the increased chance that appetizers will make an appearance. All of these places in Scottsdale were places I would recommend. Our service was also suspiciously good which I can only assume was because I was with a HOT group of ladies. If I had to pick a favorite app, I’m going with the pretzels but all of the breads with some type of cheese were chef’s kiss.

The Montauk: Weekender Sandwich (brioche, egg, bacon, avocado, swiss) - no matter how loudly sweet breakfast entrees call my name, it is hard for me to turn down a breakfast sandwich

JoJo Coffeehouse: Breakfast Burrito - the salsa was amazing and it just tasted so fresh

Cala: Parmesan Crusted Pork Cutlet - it was my favorite entree of the weekend and tasted like a saucy chicken parm spin-off

A women filled top artists calls for a woman playlist suggestion. Whenever I get bored of my current music I search on Spotify for fun playlists. Recently I found “Created by Women” which includes songs 100% written, produced, and performed by women. Admittedly I didn’t know majority of the songs on the playlist BUT Diet Pepsi by Addison Rae does make an appearance.

Call it fate but the episode of Modern Family I was on happened to be the one where they are celebrating everyone’s birthdays throughout the year. And although I absolutely love a birthday, I recognize that everyone wants to celebrate in their own way. Between the different birthday celebration styles - I found myself as a mixture between Cam and Alex. Mitch’s birthday style would be my absolute last choice because I want to be surrounded by my favorite people.

I tend to plan entire trips around specific experiences I want to have. For Iceland - I wanted to be in a lagoon. For Scottsdale - I wanted to ATV in the desert and that is exactly what I did. Luckily I got to calm my nerves by starting as the passenger princess but it was wayyy less scary than it seemed to drive. Of course I booked the sunset time slot which just made the experience 10x better.

I feel like this was a slow news week in pop culture or maybe I have been tuned out. I am unfortunately still hearing about Blake/Justin (MAKE IT STOP)! The reality dating shows are back in full swing and another failed couple from the Bachelor is in the headlines. As someone who has separated myself from the bachelor franchise and was a day one hater of Matt and Rachel… I simply don’t care. I will say that although I am not tuning in to the latest season of the bachelor… they finally found a HOT lead. There have been plenty of suburban handsome leads but THIS is a good looking man.

Bingo has been featured way more on Yapple Sauce than I would have ever predicted. There must be something about BINGO that calls to me. I made this for my birthday festivities to…

1.) Add a fun twist/activity to the night

2.) Give the opportunity for ridiculous stories

3.) Benefit myself with as much free alcohol as I could get

I truly did not expect the level of competitiveness this brought to the table.

After childhood I lost the appreciation for a birthday cake. Cake has never been my favorite desert and I didn’t have a parent buying a cake for me. But this year? Birthday cake is SO back. The first cake I will simply never get over. It is the most beautiful cake I have ever seen AND it tasted amazing. The second cake was my free birthday dinner treat!
