JUST READ: A Little Life: 1 star (213/214 overall ranking)
OH BROTHER THIS BOOK SUCKED! What was the point? This was just straight up trauma porn. The trauma actually got to be un-shocking after awhile. I stopped caring and just wanted the book to end. Truly this was just a book about self harm, trauma, and not doing a single thing to help the situation. BOOOOOOO. I would love to chat with someone who liked this book because it is highly praised and I’m failing to see why. The author is clearly a good writer but let’s change the entire plot! I dreaded every time I had to pick up this 832 page book and cheered when it was over.
CURRENTLY READING: Daggermouth by H.M. Wolfe
I told myself I wanted to read more dystopian books so I am starting with this one! It’s clearly an enemies to lovers situation and they are still very much enemies where I am at. Unlike my ‘Just Read’ book, I’m excited to see where this book goes!

Restaurant: Popup Bagels in Houston
Popup Bagels has arrived in Houston! I wish it was closer to the center of the loop but for parking purposes it is probably better that it is not. There was a line when I went but it goes by so quickly because there are limited options for ordering. My favorite combo is always the Everything bagel and Scallion cream cheese.
Recipe: Labne with Sizzled Scallions and Chile
This was not a recipe I made but it was featured at Cookbook Club and I do plan on making this dip because I was obsessed.

It’s hot girl summer but my music is giving sad girl summer. It’s hard when Olivia and Noah both dropped potential AOTY winners before summer! Megan teased her new song which I NEED. It has not been released but she continues to tease ACT III. Megan save me from a sad girl summer!

Oh this season was GOOD. Perhaps I loved this season because I was just staring at Tom the entire time with googly eyes. He is just so charming and the definition of a silver fox! I loved seeing the perceived underdog tribe absolutely demolish the other tribe. Palau ranks number 2 for me out of the first 10 seasons
Movies: Maternal Instinct
Another Netflix documentary! So many people told me to watch this one. This girly is not well. And let me say, why does she look different in every single picture I see of her. Outside of the tragic and disturbing story, I was shook by the fact that they were trying to name their child Clancy. CLANCY!? That gives me all the information that I need to know.

General: June Dinner Party
Unfortunately my cheese shaped candles did not arrive on time to make the theme of this party immediately obvious but this was the Cheesy Dinner party. The girlies dressed in their cutest cheese colored fits and brought a cheese for a cheese tasting. I was full of cheese and had the best time!
Pop Culture: e.l.f. Priest
It’s a slow pop-culture week. All that is going on is Love Island and soccer. So I am here to share some news that I hadn’t heard but when I heard it I was shook. The e.l.f. founder, Scott-Vincent Borba is now a Catholic Priest. Ok diva? New e.l.f. priest makeup line in the works?
R: RECOMMEND: Day Trip
Most people have a location that is close enough to them for a day trip! For the Houston gals, one of those places is Galveston. A day trip is the best way to spend a summer day. It’s a change of scenery without having to worry about accommodations. We spent our day shopping and going to the beach.
T: TREAT: Sunday Swap
I came home with many treats after attending a Sunday Swap. Everyone brought homemade treats to exchange. I came home with cookies, chips and salsa, a cupcake, herb butter, a junk journal kit, and a DIY planter. I brought customized match books to the function!
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Massages
I don’t want a rough massage. Honestly a light touch is good enough for me. A gentle pet even. Maybe I’m too sensitive but I don’t want a hard massage. That is not relaxing to me. I realize that probably gives the better results down the road but I want a massage to feel relaxing in the moment.
YAPPY HOUR: Cool Music Videos
Pop stars don’t care about music videos like they used to! I yearn for cool music videos. Olivia Rodrigo gave us a cool music video with ‘The Cure.’ Now let’s make this a regular thing! I miss the days where I would watch the top 20 music videos on a weekly basis on VH1.
