JUST READ: The Correspondent: 4 stars (94/208 overall ranking)
This story was told completely through letters. At first I was confused about what I was reading but then everything hit me in the feels. It felt like reading letters that your grandmother would have sent. I also enjoyed that it was a very quick and easy read.

It’s the end of the month so of course I’m reading a book club book! I love the cover because I do indeed judge a book by it’s cover. The beginning of this book has been really sweet so far. I feel like I have been reading a lot of books involving grieving so far and I need to switch that up asap!

Restaurant: Hopdoddy Burger Bar
I would go back here and just get the bowl of fries to be honest! All the food was good but it was weirdly expensive for what I got. For the price, I would rather get a burger else where but there wasn’t anything wrong with the place!

I was quite confused by the Matchbox Twenty appearance until I remembered the playlist that was playing during my last dinner party. Slayyter has been an artist I have been wanting to get into since Coachella. A couple weeks back I took the deep dive after hearing from another friend that I would like her. They were correct. Charli XCX girlies will almost definitely love Slayyyter. Dare I say, ‘DANCE…’ is a lifechanging song.

Julia and Eliza coined a phrase for when society decides to hate a woman because she has annoyed them. It is called being ‘Woman’d.’ This is commonly because of a singular mistake or comment was made that we wouldn’t even comment on if it came from a man. Other times it is simply because they have been in the limelight in a positive light for too long and everyone feels the need to knock them down. Jennifer Lawrence and Rachel Zegler are prime example of people who have been 'Woman’d'.’ Their prediction of the next ‘woman’d’ victim is Olivia Rodrigo since she has been very positively perceived for a long time AND people were tearing apart her baby doll dresses. I unfortunately could see this but I will not play into it! Resist the urge to participate in ‘womaning.’
Television: High Potential
I have heard many positive things about this show and I was meaning to watch. I finally watched a few episodes and I will continue to watch this show. I give Kaitlyn Olson all the props because I do not see her as her It’s Always Sunny character at all. I see her as the quirky high IQ police consultant.
Movies: Obsession
This is probably my favorite horror movie that I’ve ever seen. It is as good as everyone is saying it is. It’s also doing wild things at the box office. Not only did it make back it’s budget and more on opening weekend but it also made more money on the second weekend which is almost unheard of. This is one of those movies where the concept was scarier than the actual movie but some scenes did indeed get me! I need to point out that while there were some funny scenes in the movie (where I gave a little chuckle), there were some scenes where people were laughing TOO hard. At the end scene of the movie my jaw was on the floor and my movie theatre was laughing? I would love to ask them what was so hilarious about the end scene.
O: OBSESSED
General: Demi Lovato “It’s Not That Deep” Tour
This is the third time I have seen Demi Lovato in concert and it was my favorite tour of hers. She did a great job highlighting her new album and not excluding her older hits. I got REAL emotional during ‘Skyscraper.’ I would have been gagged to hear ‘La La Land’ or ‘Don’t Forget’ as her surprise song but I can’t win them all. Her opener, Adela!? I was not familiar with her game. I didn’t know a single one of her songs but I was thoroughly entertained during her set while she did ballet and performed. It was the cherry on top for her to perform Cher Lloyd’s bridge during ‘Really Don’t Care.’ It was her last show of the tour and she did not disappoint.
Pop Culture: Keke Palmer and Sean Evans
I am not one to promote a woman getting into a relationship with a bald white man but HEAR ME OUT. Sean Evans was recently on Keke Palmer’s podcast and I was giggling and kicking my feet at the clips on my feed. Keke had been a guest on Hot One’s and Sean had revealed years ago that she is his celebrity crush. I just feel that this could work! KEKE IF YOU ARE READING THIS - I think Sean could treat you like the queen that you are because this man is clearly enamored by you (I mean who wouldn’t be).
R: RECOMMEND: Herb Plants
I failed to plant basil from seeds so I went to the next step and just purchased a basil plant (it also features Rosemary and Oregano). My plant mom ventures have failed before but I am focusing on this one beauty and I’m hoping for the best!
T: TREAT: Froyo
Bring the froyo craze back! People forget about trends quite easily. Dot cakes are the craze now but in a month people won’t blink their eyes about them. Froyo was THAT GIRL and she deserves her flowers. It’s a froyo girl summer!
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Plus Sizes
A clothing brand having plus sizes available is the bare minimum at this point. Which for some reason that is still hard for them to accomplish? It’s giving the same energy as the dating pool for women. But when I see a brand that has different clothing for their plus sizes, it pisses me off. Because why do plus sizes need different clothing? I don’t get to have the cute skirt you have advertised on your website? Ok coooooool! I don’t give the Kardashians praise too much but when Khloe Kardashian started ‘Good American’ she specifically commented on the brand not having a plus size section. All the clothes would be available in all sizes. THANK YOU. We need this energy from everyone.
YAPPY HOUR: Rides
I have lost my love of rides. Am I getting old? I was obsessed with rides, roller coasters, and theme parks. I even bought a roller coaster book from the book fair (it was that serious). I don’t dislike them by any means but if I never rode another ride or went to another theme park for the rest of my life, I think I would be more than content with that. Perhaps it just doesn’t give me the same thrill anymore? Who knows! I think I would just rather spend my money elsewhere, specifically on other vacations or activities.
