Dear Gentle & Saucy Yappers,
It’s not spring break yet but I’m in a spring break state of mind. And to those of you reading this and going: spring break? I don’t have that, I’m an adult. I work in education so LET ME HAVE THIS ONE THING.
xoxo, Hailey Girl
RANKING OF THE WEEK: Holiday Mascots I’d Take as a +1 to a Wedding

St Patrick Leprechaun- He is a crowd pleaser and knows how to party!
Santa - I will get major street cred for bringing someone so famous
Cupid - I will make him change out of the diaper but he’s all about love so it makes sense for the occasion
Punxsutawney Phil - I will just have to make sure it’s not a winter wedding but everyone will think he’s cute
Easter Bunny - A last resort I fear

R: READING
JUST READ: Most Eligible: 3 stars (132/194 overall ranking)
Was this a good romance story? Not in my opinion. Was this an entertaining read? Yes! It was an easy read and I enjoyed the reality television setting.
The Last Party: 4 stars (80/194 overall ranking)
I enjoyed the build up of this book a lot. I was really excited to see where it would go. Unfortunately where it went, fell flat for me. It wasn’t bad but it did not live up to expectations as it was kind of predictable. Overall, I liked the book but the ending prevented me from loving it.
CURRENTLY READING: Bringing Down The Duke by Evie Dunmore

I’m in a Bridgerton mood what can I say! This is my first time reading a book set in the Gilded age but so far I’m eating it up! As we all know, I am a sucker for their fun little phrases. Let us make haste!
E: EATING
Restaurant: IHOP

Sorry for the late PSA but National Pancake Day was on March 3rd and IHOP had free pancake stacks on that day. The pancakes? Delicious! The environment? Spooky. In my opinion, the free pancakes were worth hearing the employees openly fight at my local IHOP but it did put a damper on things.

Music:

We as a society do not talk enough about Norman Fucking Rockwell enough. It is a perfect album from beginning to end. I will occasionally get the urge to listen to that entire album and this past week was one of them. So hauntingly beautiful. I wish she had won awards for it.
Song Recommendation: Norman fucking Rockwell - Lana Del Rey
Podcasts: Giggly Squad
First thing is first, 80% of you voted for removable bra pads. The people have spoken and majority of you agree with Paige/Hannah. Now I don’t often say this but I disagreed with one of their takes! People are wearing white Birkenstocks as their wedding shoes. They were not about this but this is genius. I didn’t know people were doing this and now I need to do this as I am a Birkenstock TRUTHER. While they are not the cutest shoe, they are perfect in every other way. I am determined to dance the night away in my birks!
Television: Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model

I was someone who binged majority of the ANTM cycles as a child so I was so ready for this docuseries. To no one’s surprise, this show was not it and toxic as hell. I wanted more though. We could have easily gotten 3 additional episodes. I wanted more from former contestants specifically because the judges gave little to zero accountability. Because although Tyra was the main problem, let’s be real they were all wildly problematic. The show was indeed a reflection of the times back then but they were part of that problem! I do fear Tyra thought they were filming a different type of show. No one is tuning into Cycle 25 girl.

General: February Dinner Party

Dare I say this has been my favorite dinner party yet! This ‘Girlhood Dinner Party’ theme will be hard to top. It was full of nostalgic vibes and nostalgic bites (yes Dinosaur chicken nuggets were featured). The ice breaker was: What did you want to be when you grew up? The activities were making paper crowns and writing a letter to your childhood self. The attire was childhood dress up vibes. So think; pink, mismatch, and sparkles.
Pop Culture: Actor Awards

The award season is wrapping up and headed towards the Oscars. I am rooting for Michael B. Jordan and Sinners. Now I have not seen majority of the other movies nominated but Michael B. Jordan played the two main characters in Sinners and did it well so that is automatically impressive to me.
R: RECOMMEND: Trying Out New Spots

Especially if you are a H-Town girly, go to a new spot! I can easily become a creature of habit and hit up my tried and true places but there are so many new great places to try! One of my 2026 punch card goals was to try new Houston spots, I’ve been doing pretty well so far! I loved the vibes at Las Perras and would return.
T: TREAT: Post-Voting Treat

I voted in my first primary election! I’m sure you have heard it from many people but voting is important. The book I’m reading right now, the main girl is fighting for women’s right to vote! If you don’t want to vote to change what is happening in the country right now. Vote for the women in the past who didn’t have the opportunity. And then after doing your civic duty, go get yourself a treat because you deserve it diva!
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Waymo
I am not interested in trying out Waymo. I definitely see the perk of potentially avoiding creepy men drivers and LOVE that. But I don’t trust whatever technology they have going on. I have seen enough videos and enough Waymo’s in the wild doing wild things that I am confident in my decision to PASS.
YAPPY HOUR: Apple ID Photos
If you set your apple ID photo up, good for you! I do not want the contact picture you chose for MY phone. I want to choose an embarrassing contact photo not your professional headshot!

The Daily Immune Ritual I Trust All Winter Long
Winter is when I’m most intentional about supporting my immune system, and Pique’s Daily Immune has become one of my non-negotiables. It’s the kind of daily ritual that feels supportive, not overwhelming and one I actually look forward to.
What sets Daily Immune apart is its liposomal vitamin C, which helps deliver nutrients more effectively to your bloodstream and immune cells, where they can truly do their job. I notice the difference in how steady and resilient I feel, especially during colder months when my body needs extra support. The addition of elderberry gives it that extra layer of seasonal immune defense I trust.
Daily Immune supports my everyday immunity, collagen production, skin resilience, and antioxidant protection all in one simple step. I love that it fits seamlessly into my routine and tastes bright and refreshing.
Winter wellness doesn’t need to be extreme to be effective. For me, Daily Immune is an easy, consistent way to feel supported, strong, and cared for all season long
