Dear Gentle & Saucy Yappers,
I want to start using the word 'Bum’ as an insult more. It feels powerful. I’d like to credit Kendrick Lamar for highlighting this word for me. The monkeys who abandoned Punch? BUM. The U.S. men's hockey team? BUMS. Chris Brown? BUM. It’s a fun word. Try it out!
xoxo, Hailey Girl
RANKING OF THE WEEK: Favorite Interview Shows

There are so many interview shows out there. Let them be fun and entertaining!
Chicken Shop Date - I would love to be interviewed by Amelia
Recess Therapy - It is truly therapeutic to get children’s take on things
Royal Court - Well of course I love supreme leader Brittney Broski and her silliness
Hot Ones - truly the OG in my heart of fun interview shows
Ziwe - Obsessed with Ziwe and everyone who agrees to go on her show is brave

R: READING
JUST READ: Animal: 4 stars (60/191 overall ranking)
I am going to steal someone else’s review on this book which said, “the central point of this book is that thirty-seven years of being a woman is enough to drive a person to kill.” Although this book was extremely hard to read at times with certain scenes due to tough subjects, it was a read I enjoyed. I was highlighting the shit out of this book too. The main character is deeply unwell but I understood her at the same time.
Favorite Quote: “The world had set me up to believe that it was women who went mad. It was simply women’s pain that manifested as madness.”
CURRENTLY READING: Most Eligible by Isabelle Engel

February always ramps up my romance reads for the year! A reality tv romance? I’m sat! It’s the perfect pre-game for Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of the Bachelorette.
E: EATING
Restaurant: EZ’s Liquor Lounge

I’d like to submit a hot dog and espresso martini combo as one of my favorite girl dinners. Some may say that all hot dogs taste similarly. I would like to speak to EZ's' hot dog supplier and shake their hand because this was a top tier dog! The bar was fun sure, but I will be back for the hot dog!

Music:

I am obsessed with the fact that Charli XCX did the Wuthering Heights score. It just made sense. The album is very her. A mixture of fun and artsy. I have two moods when listening to her music: Shaking ass or Laying down and staring at the ceiling while experiencing the song. This album provided for both of those moods.
Song Recommendation: Dying for You - Charli XCX
Podcasts: Giggly Squad
A question was raised on Giggly Squad that the Yappers need to answer. Do we want bra pads removable or sewn in to clothing? I genuinely don't know which I prefer. On one side, I hate removable ones because they get messed up constantly and are hard to put in. On the other side, I’m not sure I want to have zero option on removing them or not. I’m torn.
Television: What I Like About You

This is a PSA that ‘What I Like About You' is streaming on Netflix. This is the comfort show I have yearned to watch but it was never on streaming. They used to play two episodes per day after school on ABC Family and I would tune in everyday so I could watch the whole show. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s time to watch!
Movies: Wuthering Heights

My PSA is that I have not read the book and have no connection to the book. I enjoyed the movie! It had a toxic couple, was visually stunning, and was spicy! All elements I love to see on the screen. The opening scene had me hooked from the beginning.
O: OBSESSED
General: Dainty Beaded Bracelets

I have gotten into bracelets more as an accessory, so I was pumped to make some dainty beaded bracelets with the girls. They go perfectly in a bracelet stack. This is the accessory vibe!
Pop Culture: Harry Styles on Royal Court

Stop what you are doing and watch Harry Styles on Royal Court. When Brittney was hyping up a guest on her podcast I didn't want to get my hopes up but I should have! It was the best Harry interview I have seen in awhile. I remembered that he was human? He's so silly and I LOVE THIS MAN. My main takeaways included:
Harry is talented at eating a lot of yogurt - this is very relatable content for me
Harry just started washing his face - at the end of the day he's a man
Harry describes boy dinner as eating a rotisserie chicken over the sink - this is correct
Harry mentioned four lokos - I did not know he knew what these were
Harry enjoys watching Mike Tyson knock out and Nanny compilation videos - would love to watch with him
R: RECOMMEND: Volunteering

I volunteered at the Houston Food Bank and they put you to work but it was a good time! I truly cannot remember the last time I volunteered and it was about time! Will you most likely experience high schoolers who are trying to get their volunteer hours in? Yes, absolutely. And that is very scary but worth it.
T: TREAT: Doodling

To my core, I am a doodler. Am I a talented doodler? No. But I have the passion for it. Whenever I am doing an art project, I feel the need to make it perfect but I decided that I was just going to doodle with acrylic paint markers on my cup. It goes well with my year of whimsy aesthetic.
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Not Everything Needs a Think Piece
My official motto is: “Let people enjoy things.” I also HATE the saying “It’s not that deep.” But two things can be true at once. Things can be deep but you can also let people enjoy things. Bitches hate nuance.
YAPPY HOUR: Punch the Monkey
I honestly was not aware of the lore of Punch the Monkey but as soon as I saw him with that stuffed monkey I was on his side. He is so CUTE. But then I find out he's cute and being bullied!? I understand why he has captured the world’s heart.

The Drink Everyone’s Reaching For This Spring 🍸✨
Spring doesn’t have to mean a packed schedule and another drink you regret tomorrow.
This season, I’m reaching for something different: Vesper by Pique.
Pique is known for blending ancient botanicals with modern science to create elevated wellness essentials. Vesper might be my favorite yet. It’s a non-alcoholic, adaptogenic aperitif that delivers the relaxed, social glow of a cocktail. Without alcohol or the next-day fog.
It’s what I pour when I want something special in my glass on a bright spring evening. Each sip feels celebratory and uplifting. Relaxed body. Clear mind. No haze. No sleep disruption.
Crafted with L-theanine, lemon balm, gentian root, damiana, and elderflower, Vesper is sparkling, tart, and beautifully herbaceous.
If you’re ready for a new kind of happy hour, try Vesper here. 🌿✨
