Dear Gentle & Saucy Yappers,
Happy Galentine’s Season (and Valentine’s if you are into that). Make sure to celebrate your girls. Give them all a kiss on the cheek or on the lips if you are in the mood to make it saucy.
xoxo, Hailey Girl
RANKING OF THE WEEK: Different Things the Cheating Olympian Could Have Done

Because admitting he cheated on his girlfriend during a press conference after his bronze medal win was not it
Not Cheat! - I know it’s obvious but clearly it was not obvious enough to him
Win Gold - The bronze medal apology seems half-assed
Make up for what he did through actions and intimate apologies - He could be doing these things but I have a feeling he is not
Literally anything else - He thought he ate, he did not

R: READING
JUST READ: A House in the Sky: 4 stars
This was a beautiful memoir about a woman who was held hostage for 15 months in Somalia. There were scenes in the book where I felt scared for her even while I listened to her narrate her story, knowing quite well she makes it out alive. It was quite a long book but I guess I can get through a long book since she got through 15 months as a hostage.
CURRENTLY READING: Drop Dead Sisters by Amelia Diane Coombs

I love a complicated family dynamic in a book! I especially love sisterhood in a book. Now this book is told from the perspective of the youngest sister but it’s FINE! I’m listening to this book through Kindle Unlimited on Audible.
E: EATING
Restaurant: Mi Luna Tapas

I’m a sucker for a tapas restaurant. It is the ultimate girl dinner. We ordered exclusively off the happy hour menu and there was not a single miss.
Patatas Bravas
Croquettas de Pollo
Jamon Serrano E Manchego
Chicken Empanada
Albondigas Maroqui
I was also obsessed with the Harissa Aioli (sauce girl until I die) and put that on everything. Paired with cocktails and ending with a bread pudding for dessert that I will think about forever, this was the ultimate girl dinner.
Recipe: Quesadillas (Snoop Dog)

Now I don’t think anyone needs a recipe for quesadillas but for my cook book club that is what I brought to the function! The key to making them so crispy? A crazy amount of butter. Snoop was suggesting 2 Tbsp of butter per 2 tortillas but I used 2 Tbsp per 4 tortillas.
There was a simple chipotle sauce on the side that was very tasty and I would remake. You simply mix 3 Tbsp sour cream, 3 Tbsp mayo, and 4 Tbsp (60 mL) Sriracha. Boom, the sauce is done!

Music:

On Tik Tok, I have seen a trend of people naming if they could only listen to 10 albums for the rest of their life what they would be and that is EXTREMELY difficult for me but I will try.

Podcasts: Comment Section
Drew discussed the cultural phenomenon of how we (older gen-z/younger millennials) used to post on Facebook. It was truly unhinged. A stream of consciousness truly. We were also DESPERATE to rate and confess to each other. And we cannot forget the photo albums dedicated to a single hang-out. 2 hours together? That is going to warrant a 40 picture photo album and half of the photos are taken via photo booth. Who was always going to comment? Your grandmother!
Television: Bridgerton Season 4

No spoilers ahead, don’t worry! The first four episodes were binged and I’m wondering why I have to wait an entire month to see the ending. I love the leading lady, Sophie, of this season! We all knew Benedict would act a fool. I know he will get it together for part 2 but I NEED him to get it together asap. The chemistry is insane between Benedict and Sophie. Especially since we have seen Benedict with many other people in past seasons! My favorite vocabulary from this season: rake and pinnacle.
Movies: The Moment

I was really nervous going into this movie because Charli is my girl and I wanted her to do well! I had heard mixed reviews and went into the movie cautious but open. Let me tell you, people need to learn to enjoy things! I thought it was fabulous. I can see this not being your favorite movie if you’re not a Charli XCX stan but it was fun and I loved it! In true Charli fashion it was silly goofy fun with a very deep underlying message.
O: OBSESSED
General: Galentine’s Parties

This was my first Galentine’s Party of the season and it won’t be my last! It is an excuse to play cute games together and sip cute drinks together while dressed cute together! It is the ideal girlhood occasion.
Pop Culture: Bad Bunny Superbowl

The actual Super Bowl game? Boring beyond belief. Thank goodness Benito was there to save the day! He did a great job and it was a fun time! No, I don’t speak Spanish and that’s perfectly fine because the vibes, culture, and artistry were there and not everything needs to be catered to me! If you didn’t enjoy the show, perhaps learn how to have fun and shake some ass.
R: RECOMMEND: Re-occurring Monthly Plans
Everyone is busy, I get it. But taking the time to dedicate to a monthly fun plan with your friends will always give you something to look forward to. In true me fashion, I go overboard with my monthly dinner party, cookbook club, and book clubs but that is because I love my calendar to be packed with my girls! If you don’t have something to attend, I recommend hosting it or joining something! I never leave any of my re-occurring monthly hangs in a bad mood.
T: TREAT: Poppi (Make it Cute)

There is something about putting a beverage you love into a cute glass. My drink of choice is the Raspberry Rose Poppi. It just instantly made me feel like THAT GIRL because the drink looked cute. I was getting ready for my Galentine’s and sipping a cute bevvy!
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: American Cheese
Yes, American cheese is processed and questionable. But honestly, I like it. And most people do like it on grilled cheese or a burger. I’m saying that I will straight up just eat a slice of it. It’s not my first choice but I still like it!
YAPPY HOUR: Womanhood
Sticking with the Galentine’s theme, I would choose to be a woman in every lifetime. Even with all the horrors, it is still worth it. It is just so beautiful to be a woman! The community, the friendships, the whimsy.

The Daily Immune Ritual I Trust All Winter Long
Winter is when I’m most intentional about supporting my immune system, and Pique’s Daily Immune has become one of my non-negotiables. It’s the kind of daily ritual that feels supportive, not overwhelming and one I actually look forward to.
What sets Daily Immune apart is its liposomal vitamin C, which helps deliver nutrients more effectively to your bloodstream and immune cells, where they can truly do their job. I notice the difference in how steady and resilient I feel, especially during colder months when my body needs extra support. The addition of elderberry gives it that extra layer of seasonal immune defense I trust.
Daily Immune supports my everyday immunity, collagen production, skin resilience, and antioxidant protection all in one simple step. I love that it fits seamlessly into my routine and tastes bright and refreshing.
Winter wellness doesn’t need to be extreme to be effective. For me, Daily Immune is an easy, consistent way to feel supported, strong, and cared for all season long
