RANKING OF THE WEEK: Stranger Things Season

THIS IS MY OPINION and I won’t be taking questions at this time.

  1. Season 4 - I will never be as GAGGED as I was during the Vecna reveal episode

  2. Season 2 - Loveeeed the mindflayer plot

  3. Season 1 - what started it all

  4. Season 3 - the 80’s nostalgia is strong in this season

  5. Season 5 - the finale was amazing but overall it had some tough competition

R: READING

JUST READ: Everyone in this Room will Someday be Dead: 4 stars (45/184 overall ranking)

I really enjoyed this book! There wasn’t a major plot happening but the author did a great job presenting a character with intense anxiety. I found myself laughing at several of the situations her anxious self gets herself into. I would recommend this read to the anxious girlies!

Favorite Quote: “I feel simultaneously intensely insignificant and hyperaware of how important everyone is.”

Holiday Romance: 3 stars (137/184 overall ranking)

Maybe holiday romances aren’t my thing but I have liked a couple of them! This one I didn’t dislike it but I also didn’t like it. It was just boring. The couple was fine and cute but I was just not super into the story.

CURRENTLY READING: The Last Secret of Lily Adams by Sara Blaydes

Whenever I see books about people in the present finding out about old Hollywood secrets, I worry that they are trying to recreate ‘The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.’ I’m pretty far into this book and luckily that is not the vibe. This is a Kindle Unlimited random find and so far I’m happy with the read.

E: EATING

Restaurant: Popup Bagels

I got to revisit one of my favorite bagel shops from New York in Florida. They just have the basics and it is more than enough. The week I went they had Gingerbread cream cheese and CACIO E PEPE butter. I yearn for the day PopUp Bagels is close to where I live.

Recipe: Sweet Potato Slop

This is not a recipe but something that is easy to whip up. If anyone else is obsessed with sweet potatoes at the moment, I would highly suggest this combination. The topping is greek yogurt mixed with random seasonings I grabbed and the side is roasted chickpeas. This was so filling and so tasty. Trust me.

P: PLAYING

Music:

Clearly my music listening was light this past week. I’m struggling to find what I’m in the mood to listen to in 2026. If I don’t find my vibe, I can always go back to the classics.

Song Recommendation: Independent Women - Destiny’s Child

Podcasts: Giggly Squad

This is a warning to my friends, I’m going to start doing what Paige suggested on Giggly Squad when I have the urge to be mean. I’m going to write the meanest text I possibly can. Maybe even go back and edit because we can always be meaner and then I will send it to my best friend instead. This idea is genius and sounds quite therapeutic.

Television: Stranger Things Finale

I’m not crying… you’re crying. I love this show so much and it’s over! I liked the finale, SUE ME. I feel the need to remind people that this show is about MONSTERS so let’s set aside our disbelief about small insignificant details for a second. It was predictable but I’m ok with that. More importantly my heart was ripped out of my chest a million different times while watching. My cry count was four times during the finale. I may need to rewatch the series so I can pretend the show isn’t over.

Movies: Evil Influencer

I swear I don’t try to watch so much Mormon content but they do tend to be in the limelight. This was trending on Netflix, I started watching, and BAM it’s about crazy Mormon’s. I will say…FAMILY YOUTUBE CHANNELS have got to go. It’s insane that such horrible things happened to children while they were being filmed for everyone to see on youtube. I’m shocked I didn’t know about this story beforehand but one of the children wrote a memoir and I do want to read it!

O: OBSESSED

General: Hatch Alarm Clock

I am now a Hatch alarm clock girly! I never even was someone who listened to sounds while going to bed but I do love this thing. My current alarm is Stranger things which is a bit jarring but it gets me right up. I’m waking up well rested. What a concept. It could be a placebo effect but that’s alright with me! It’s important to note that I did receive this as a gift and I’m not sure I would spend the money on this if I didn’t but I do love it!

Pop Culture: Zach Bryan Marriage

Zach Bryan is married? I would recommend therapy but marriage is an option as well I guess. I’m sure the next album will hit though! It is important that I comment on how absolutely stunning her dress is though. Her taste in men? Questionable. Her taste in gowns? Impeccable.

R: RECOMMEND: Punch Cards

Last year I made a BINGO card to spice up my New Year resolutions. Candidly speaking, I ditched that Bingo card. This year, I want to be more successful so I made punch cards of different habits I want to have part of my 2026. Some cards are much easier than others but the goal is to build fun and better habits. I included outside walks, exploring new Houston places, going on solo dates, saving money, and much more!

T: TREAT: Key Lime Pie

I was scrolling through Yelp pictures (as one does) at my tried and true: Hudson House. I wanted the Yelp pictures to help me decide between two items and instead what the pictures did was make me save room for dessert. This key lime pie tasted as delicious as it looked! In 2026, I will be saving room for a sweet treat.

SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Fuck-Ass Mustache

I am stating my credentials with facial hair, that I am quite attracted to a man with facial hair. Bears, scruff, or even a mustache. I draw the line at a fuck-ass mustache. What am I talking about? The mustache’s that twirl on the end, the mustache’s that look like a cartoon villain, the mustache’s that were grown to piss me off. To each their own but I will not be dealing with a man who has a fuck-ass mustache. Thank you very much.

Reset Your Energy and Feel Lighter With a January Liver Reset

January is the perfect time to reset, rebalance, and support your body after the indulgence of the holidays. If you’re doing Dry January or simply craving a fresh start, focusing on liver health can make a powerful difference—and it’s one of the most overlooked wellness rituals.

That’s why I’ve made Pique’s Liver Detox Protocol part of my January reset. Inspired by over 3,000 years of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this gentle daily ritual supports your body’s natural detoxification processes without harsh cleanses or deprivation.

The protocol includes two simple moments a day: Electric Turmeric in the morning and La Ginger in the evening. In the morning, Electric Turmeric feels warming, grounding, and nourishing—like a calm reset before the day begins. At night, La Ginger is bold and soothing, supporting digestion and overnight renewal.

Within weeks, I noticed steadier energy, less bloating, clearer skin, and an overall lighter feeling. It didn’t feel like a detox—it felt like alignment. Two small rituals, big results.
