RANKING OF THE WEEK: American Girls with The Most Trauma

These girlies went through some SHIT. Now I am only ranking the girly pop’s that I am familiar with so if any of the new gals have some crazy trauma, my apologies to them. I have a feeling they still would not crack the top 3 though.

  1. Addy - she was born into slavery. There is truly no competition for this spot

  2. Kaya - my girl was kidnapped and abused

  3. Kirsten - finds a dead body, house burns down, and her bestie dies from Cholera

  4. Kit - poor in the Great Depression

R: READING

JUST READ: Dating After the End of the World: 3 stars (116/167 overall ranking)

This book felt like I was reading the script of a cheesy Netflix movie. The plot was fun and engaging but nothing special. I was more into with the end of the world plot over the romance plot. It was a cute read but nothing special.

CURRENTLY READING: Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah

The Kristin Hannah Kindle Unlimited books hate to see me coming! I can count on Kristin Hannah to write a book that will give me all the feelings. She has yet to disappoint me!

E: EATING

Restaurant: Weaver & Co BBQ

Never have I ever ordered a loaded baked potato from a BBQ place before this moment and I’m starting to wonder why. The person before me received this beautiful creation and I was easily influenced.

Recipe: Sweet-Salty Pigs in Blankets

As stated in the intro of this newsletter, Meg has been my ride or die this week. Truly I am only in the mood for positive and confidence boosting music. Of course I could count on Spotify to give me a confidence boost playlist. Try not to feel like THAT GIRL while listening to Megan or that playlist.

Podcasts: Giggly Squad

Now when Paige and Hannah discussed printers I was locked in. They both felt 3D printers were going to have a bigger impact in today’s society which… same. But what really got to me was when Hannah mentioned they probably aren’t as relevant because printers never work. Printers NEVER work. Why have we not figured out printers. Even the expensive ass printers I use at work have their problems and let’s not even discuss the at-home printers. It’s almost 2026, let’s figure out printers.

The poll results are in and they were close but surprisingly majority of the Yappers were on my side. 60% of you voted that you would prefer to be cold over being hot.

Television: Stranger Things

The fifth and final season of this show is quickly approaching so I felt it was appropriate to do a re-watch. I just finished season 1 and I forgot so much! They were such babies but also I was reminded how good this show is! Season 1 features my favorite quote from this show that I used to use often which is when Dustin yells, “That’s our friend and she’s crazy!”

Movies: K-Pop Demon Hunters

I felt behind in culture because I had not watched this movie. The songs do indeed SLAP. I will be listening to Golden in my free time. I cannot judge the movie too harshly because it is a kid movie at the end of the day but I feel like people love this movie because of the music and not the plot. The plot was interesting don’t get me wrong but I had many questions. Maybe my questions will be answered in the sequel they will inevitably make.

O: OBSESSED

General: Friendsgiving

It is friendsgiving season! Not to flex but I have three Friendsgivings this year. Many would think that is excessive but I would argue it is the perfect amount. The first one was fabulous. I brought my Cornbread Casserole which was featured in Edition 17 of Yapple Sauce if you want the recipe! Obviously I love hosting so I absolutely appreciate someone else’s hosted event. Especially when they go all out for the occasion!

Pop Culture: Grammy Nominations

The Grammy nominations are out! Kendrick’s GNX is my album favorite but I am most excited for is Olivia Dean’s nomination for Best New Artist. Sadly, her latest album is not eligible for nomination this year but I’m rooting for her to win!

R: RECOMMEND: Frame Painting

Surprise…it’s a craft! This is not my first frame I have painted but I have learned my preferences. If you don’t have tape on the sides to make sure your edges are perfect, go ahead and paint the sides! Because it will not look pretty otherwise. Painted frames are fun. This one I did rainbow polka dots but majority of mine are painted a variety of solid colors.

T: TREAT: Flowers

Like Miley said, I can buy myself flowers but I didn’t need to because I had an amazing best friend who sent me these from abroad (Florida). She did not mean to purchase yellow roses but I think the color is perfect because yellow roses signify friendship, joy, and happiness.

SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Cranberry Sauce

If you like the cranberry gelatin thing that comes in the can, I won’t yuck your yum! But for the longest time I thought that was what cranberry sauce was all about. Therefore I wanted nothing to do with it. But when I tried a homemade cranberry sauce and my opinion completely changed. Suddenly, I NEED cranberry sauce with my Turkey. I think a lot of people just haven’t tried the correct cranberry sauce!

SAUCY STORY TIME (YAPPER WRITE-INS):

A yapper messaged us because she wanted to know everyone’s Marshmallow preference. Personally I am a 4. Now my impatience usually leaves me with a 3 but best case scenario, I’m a 4. If you have a question for the Yappers feel free to submit one below!
