JUST READ: Call of the Camino: 3 stars (137/166 overall ranking)
I try to switch up my genres of reading. This book’s plot description did not particularly speak to me but I was hoping it would surprise me. It was a nice story but nothing that wowed me. It was a quick read which I appreciated since I have gotten into an annoying habit of picking out long books.
CURRENTLY READING: Educated by Tara Westover
 | I am so excited to read this memoir. I have a soft spot for memoirs featuring a strong woman’s story. I have heard only positive reviews of this book so I am going in with high expectations. |
E: EATING
Restaurant: Cottonwood
 | I participated in my first Steak Night. I need to know if other states outside of Texas have this as a thing. Nights of discounted steak dinners at a bar. I have always been hesitant because admittedly I am a steak snob. This steak got my stamp of approval though. Honestly everything on this plate was delicious and I was a part of the clean plate club after this dinner. |

 | Thanksgiving season is upon us! Before anyone says that you can’t truly celebrate Thanksgiving because there is no Thanksgiving music. I would remind them of Whatcha Say by Jason Derulo. Podcasts: Two Hot Takes
This might be one of my hotter takes so I was happy to hear it repeated back to me on a podcast. It is important to note that the host is also from Minnesota (but now lives in California). I would rather be cold than hot. Sue me but I prefer a shiver or a sweat. My advice when someone is cold is to grab a blanket or sweater!

Television: American Horror Story Season 13
 | American Horror Story just dropped the cast of the 13th season and ALL the important cast members are back. Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, and JESSICA LANGE. So is this the last season? I still am a handful of seasons behind but it would make sense with all the most iconic cast members making a return. 13 would also be an iconic number to end a horror show on. |
Movies: The Switch
 | “Let me put on a silly movie in the background of packing” were my famous last words as I stopped packing to sit on my couch to watch this movie. There is something about an older rom com that will always get to me. But honestly the romance got me less in this movie and I was more attached to how cute the kid was! |
O: OBSESSED
General: Puppies
 | I went to a dog park event at Zoomies and adoptable dogs were present. All of the puppies had rapper names and my heart was full. It didn’t help that they reminded me of my dog. Puppy cuddles will cure you and a reminder to adopt instead of shop! |
Pop Culture: Tyra Banks Hot Ice Cream
 | Tyra Banks is on the ultimate side quest and consider me confused. She has opened up a hot ice cream shop in Australia. Yes, you read that sentence correctly. Do not get it confused with melted ice cream. It is reimagined warm ice cream. Ok! Maybe modeling was just a means to fund her hot ice cream dreams! |
R: RECOMMEND: Movers
Here is the thing…I hate everything about moving. It truly pains my soul. In addition, movers are expensive. In my opinion they are a necessary luxury. I’m just not in a place in my life where I want to help lift up a couch. I mean it is their job but it is crazy how much more efficient the movers are than I am. They make such a hard task look so easy. I say spend the money and do it.
T: TREAT: DIY Cocktail Night
  | Ladies and the few gentlemen. This is the way to pregame. Everyone brings the ingredients to their own cocktail and shares it with the group. I had a Spooky Dirty Shirley. It was spooky because the grenadine was in the syringe. I’m not sure if that is being represented well in the photo but I promise it looked cute! The winner for best cocktail was the Pumpkin Guts cocktail. No pumpkin guts in the ingredients but again it looked very cute and tasted yummy! |
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Leaving Early to Beat Traffic
Listen, I hate traffic as much as the next person. But leaving an event early to beat traffic has never made sense to me. You paid so much money to be somewhere, like a concert, and you’re willing to miss the most popular song? Could not be me! I will be staying for the entirety of the event. The shitty traffic is just a part of the experience.
YAPPY HOUR: Family Halloween Costumes
Family halloween costumes are cute but I have questions! When the children are too young to pick out a halloween costume, it makes sense. But once they get older, I start questioning if that is REALLY what the kids wanted to be. It’s a right of passage to pick out your costume and it’d be so sad to have that taken away to match for a photo. The true crime is when the kids are not the main characters. This year I saw Paris Hilton dressed up as TinkerBell and her daughter was Jane. I’m sorry but no kid would rather be Jane over Tinkerbell!
