I think it is important that I report to you that Smuckers is suing Trader Joe’s and here at Yapple Sauce… we are on Joe’s side. I haven’t tried Trader Joe’s peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but I can only assume they are tastier and cheaper than uncrustables.

JUST READ: Night Road: 4 stars (63/161 overall ranking)
This was my first non-historical fiction read from Kristin Hannah. To be honest, I didn’t know she had books that weren’t historical fiction but in true Kristin Hannah fashion this book was still heartbreaking. At times I was very annoyed with the characters but her writing style had me hooked throughout the entire book.
CURRENTLY READING: We are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter
 | I have yet to read a Karin Slaughter book that I did not enjoy. This is the start of a new series! Although, I am notoriously bad at reading series. Not because I don’t want to read the next books but just because I already have so many planned books on my TBR! |

Restaurant: Puerto Rico Restaurants
 | One of (if not the #1) the reasons I love traveling is trying new food spots out! Here were the notable food stops from my trip: Christianson’s (Pictured): A breakfast place that specializes in french toast will always be a win from me The Cannon Club: Cute vibes and had live piano music as entertainment 787 Coffee: They had the best chicken empanada I have ever had Deaverdura: I got pulled pork and sweet plantains. This seemed to be the overall favorite meal from everyone on the trip. |

 | Honestly my music recap from last week doesn't even seem like my music listening. Although I am slightly confused, I will recognize that I love me some Tate McRae. I prefer her sad song ballads but her pop songs will get me hyped! For some reason, it seems that a lot of people do not respect her amongst the pop girlies. She is bringing back the iconic dance moves from the original pop girlies and we need to respect that! Song Recommendation: You Broke Me First - Tate McRae |
Podcasts: The Diary of a CEO
 | I don’t usually stray from my usual podcast listens but after seeing clips of Louis on this podcast, I had to listen! Well, yes I cried several times while listening. If you were ever a Directioner, you absolutely need to give this a listen. I love Louis Tomlinson and I miss Liam Payne. |
Television: Monster: The Ed Gein Story
 | I have only seen the first couple of episodes of this show but I had no idea about Ed Gein. I wasn’t aware he was inspiring all of these horror movies either. I love Psycho! Charlie Hunnam is a great actor because I have never been so un-attracted to him. And that voice…? I’m scared. |
Movies: A Star is Born
 | I just watched this movie for the first time in the year of 2025. Yes, I’m aware I’m late but I was actively avoiding this movie because I was not ready. I thought I was ready and the answer is that you will never be ready for this movie. I was sobbing. The Grammy scene!? I contemplated shutting the movie off because that was a HARD scene to watch. |

General: THIS Bag
 | Please give this bag the moment that she deserves. I was gifted this from my bestie bride as a bridesmaid gift. It makes me want to throw my laptop in the bag and go to a coffeeshop to write this newsletter. The tote bags are having a moment and they deserve it! |
Pop Culture: Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
 | I have never actually watched one of these fashion shows but I do enjoy seeing the highlights after. These flower wings that Em Rata had!? I am obsessed. I ALWAYS love to see my gal Ashley Graham walk the runway. She is the moment and my favorite model. Bella Hadid also looked insane. Was she not recently in the hospital? She can do it all! |
R: RECOMMEND: Scrapbook Frames
 | Yapple Sauce loves crafts and loves Office Hours. Office Hours Social Club hosted a craft night and I am pretty proud of my final product! Whenever I feel like I have done all the crafts I want to do, I am introduced to a new one that I am obsessed with! Did I almost break the polaroid camera in pursuit of getting the perfect picture? Well, yes! That is show biz baby! |
T: TREAT: Drunken Cookies
 | I am personally obsessed with the vibe of Drunken Cookies. “Get Chip Faced?” That is simply genius. Every cookie came with a small shot of alcohol that you could inject with your cookie but I went sober with my cookie. The mocktail cookie was fabulous on it’s own and I will always remember this place because the vibes were immaculate. |
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Another Victim of Bad Work
 | So after watching A Star is Born, I went to look up Bradley Cooper and it was a jump scare. He doesn’t look real? His work makes him look like a fake version of himself. He was an attractive man! Now he is a scary man! Rich people have the means to get the best work done and it often still doesn’t look great. Spooky. |
YAPPY HOUR: Vocal Stims
I’m not sure if my brain is starting to rot from Tik Tok but when I get something stuck in my head, I cannot stop saying it. They aren’t exclusively Tik Tok sounds and sometimes they aren’t even real things. For example, this past weekend I could not stop singing “Puerto Rico” in the tune of Raini Rodriguez’ iconic song that she sang on the red carpet.
