Summer is the time for romance books and beach reads! If I read too many romance books in a row, I often get burnt out but I think summertime is the exception. This is my third romance in a row and I might even go for a fourth one after this.

Is it weird to report that a restaurant smelled good? Not in a way where it smelled like good food, but in a smoky and sexy way. It was a boujee and expensive restaurant but that was part of the experience. I got the short rib enchiladas and I have no complaints. To go with the fancy vibes, there was indeed a bathroom attendant. I always feel so awkward with them there. Let a girl piss in peace!

My listening this week is a perfect summary of my music taste this summer. I either want Coastal Cowgirl or Hot Girl Summer. No inbetween. God forbid a girl likes some diversity in her music!

Song Recommendation: Soak Up The Sun - Sheryl Crow

The duality of women is Britney Broski talking about how many men cannot handle a successful woman like herself while interjecting to sing “Moonbeam Ice Cream.” Unfortunately Benson Boone is doing great by capitalizing on his song becoming a meme but I don’t love that it forces me to hear the song even more.

I am in mourning because I finished Modern Family. It was one of those shows that I casually watched with so many seasons that I thought I would never finish it. What am I supposed to watch now while I eat my meals!? After I finished the finale, a documentary on the show started to play. I didn’t realize this show was THAT GIRL. All the awards and all the celebrity guest stars.

I gave this movie a rewatch because I have not seen it since it came out. I remember thinking it was a very “alright” movie. My opinion pretty much stayed the same but I truly did not remember the plot to this movie whatsoever. The movie is very entertaining but I just cannot get with the ending. The movie goes from psychological thriller to supernatural real quick. No thank you!

Have I only had two facials in my life? Yes! But this facial was truly life changing. The entire time I was thinking about how I never wanted it to end. Usually I just love the self-care vibes of facials and spas but I’m never 100% sure if it actually did anything beneficial for me. My skin has been glowing. Hence the name I’m sure! I’ve been confidently going no-makeup all week and I’m here for it.

Katy Perry has been going through a flop era but I still feel for her. Another huge break up while she is on tour!? Her and Orlando Bloom had been together for almost 10 years. I hope girly is doing ok!

This is for all the book lovers! The last thing I need is to be apart of another book club where I have to read a certain book but Office Hours is different. Truly my dream book club come true. No assigned books, just yapping about current reads! If you’re not a Houston girly, the instagram still gives amazing book recommendations.

I have to assume no one likes a tiny water cup. I honestly lose respect for an establishment who gives me a tiny water cup. I’m trying to stay hydrated and you are gonna give me a shot glass!? I know the place can afford to spare their normal cups. Are you low on water!? I fear it is giving off poor energy to serve water in these cups.
