JUST READ: Berlin: 4 stars (94/216 overall ranking)
I love a complicated and well written female main character! I’m sad I listened to this book because there were so many top tier lines in this book that I wanted to highlight. There was not a strong plot in this book but I was ok with that because I was so interested in the main character.
Favorite Quote: “But it was complicated, this feeling I had, as the sparks melted in confusion of light - because, while I did envy other people for being them, I pitied them for never getting to be me.”
Time Will Tell: 4 stars (2/13 overall ranking)
There is a certain book (not finished yet) that has put me in a reading slump so I have tried to spark my reading excitement with some short stories. This one was very cute! All I ask for in a short story is to be entertained so I’m automatically impressed when I’m invested in the story. I was invested in both the story and the romance of this book.
CURRENTLY READING: Second Act Romance by Julie Soto
While I read my slump book, I am continuing on with these ‘Second Chance Romance’ short stories. Immediately not as into this one as much as ‘Time Will Tell’ but that one will be a tough act to follow.

I made corn bread without using corn bread mix! It really wasn’t difficult at all. The perfect recipe as cozy season is finally here.

I’ve been changed as a woman ever since my uber driver made me connect to blue tooth before taking a five minute drive to the bar. Did I play Nicole Kidman followed by Crank 2 of course. There was something special about pulling up to the local dive bar with Crank 2 blaring in the background. It charged me up for a fun night ahead.

Podcasts: Broski Report
After her summer hiatus, Brittney Broski is BACK! I have dearly missed the chaos of this podcast. She is using the hell out of her new sound board while also making me emo. I’m not sure how she makes me feel such a range of emotions in a short time but I’m a fan.
Television: Survivor China
I hate to report that this season did not hit for me like I expected it to! Everyone talks about this season as one of the best seasons of Survivor ever. Even Jeff said at the (unhinged) reunion that it was one of the best seasons. I kept waiting for that to be true for me but it sadly did not happen. I was rooting for James. I’m glad that from this season, James and Amanda are the ones back for the next season of Fans vs. Favorites. Survivor China ranks 9/15 for me.
Movies: Verity
I went to an early screening of Verity because I’m super cool obviously. This was the book that got me back into reading so obviously I wanted to see the movie. This movie had some jump scares so that is my warning to people who are not about that life. I read the book and was team manuscript but I watched the movie and was team letter. The movie gave Housemaid vibes. I’m glad I saw it but I probably will not be re-watching.

General: Tik Tok Games
I love playing cutie games with my friends. There is always a random game going viral on Tik Tok so this is your sign to play it with your friends. My most important question that got me to answering 24 was, “Would Leonardo Dicaprio still date me if I was this age?”
Pop Culture: Covid Conscious Lesbian Bar
The news cycle moves so quickly that this almost feels like old news. If you are unaware, there is a covid conscious lesbian bar in Massachusetts that went viral after it’s feature in the Boston Globe because of it’s absurdity. The bar is now offering a “masks optional Saturday night happy hour.” The response from their customers was immediately angry to the point where the bar posted an apology. I think it is also noteworthy to point out that the owner of the bar has been taking a step back because of their desire to go to clown college. People are really out there living a whole different life.

Look how cute my pumpkin is! I hate to admit but I slack on the Halloween decor. This was the first step to me stepping up my game. It was easy and kind of a ‘do whatever you want’ vibe with decorating the mini pumpkin candy basket.
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Team Players
I have a work qualm! I hate a co-worker, but honestly anyone in general, who is not a team player. It’s not all about you! Do people not believe in karma anymore? I don’t forget and if you aren’t a team player, I simply will not be a team player with you either. Sucks to suck.
YAPPY HOUR: Anna’s Crush in Pen15
This is me giving you another sign to watch Pen15 but in the show every time the main character (Anna) sees her crush (Alex) romantic music starts playing and everything happens in slow motion. I’m feeling vulnerable and would like to share that I never related to that scene until this week. It’s important to note that Anna is a middle schooler and I am 29 years old. Better late than never.
