RANKING OF THE WEEK: Favorite Tik Tok Edits
Klaus and Caroline from Vampire Diaries - the other Vampire Diaries edits are a hit or miss for me but I will always stop and watch an edit of them
Shameless - every sad song that drops, I see a Shameless edit to it and I eat it up every time
Hot Men - Harry Styles, Michael B. Jordan, send them all my way!
Women - Just a classic ‘powerful women from movies/t.v. shows’ edit. It really gets me going
Criminal Minds or Supernatural - These are tied. I’m indecisive and could not pick.

JUST READ: Beartown: 4.5 stars (43/213 overall ranking)
This book was tough for me during the first 40%. There were so many characters to keep track of and it was slow. I always say I’m ok with a slow burn if it’s worth it at the end. This book was worth it at the end. I could not put it down once the plot started going. I had so many emotions reading this book and I can’t stop thinking about it but I had to knock it a half star because of the beginning.
Favorite Quote: '‘This is a serious allegation, they remind her, as if it’s the allegation that’s the problem.”
Accidentally Yours: 3 stars (7/11 overall ranking)
This book was cute but it also had some cringe moments that took me out of it. It was a short story and there wasn’t reason for me to love the book or hate it.
CURRENTLY READING: Slewfoot by Brom
I am a Kindle reader to my core. I don’t have an issue with physical books but my prime reading time is at night so the Kindle works best for that. I am reading the physical copy of this so it might be awhile until you see this in my ‘Just Read’ section. I am liking the vibes of this book though. Loving the main female character and hating the men!
E: EATING
Restaurant: Layne’s vs. Cane’s
The fact that these places basically sell the same exact concept and have rhyming names makes me giggle. I went to Layne’s recently and I would probably have to have these both at the same time to give a fair ranking. Layne’s chicken is definitely more seasoned and better on it’s own but the thing is I love sauce so I barely noticed that. Cane’s will always win for the bread. Fries and sauce I felt were comparable between the two. So who’s the winner for me? Whichever is more convenient in the moment that I want it!

This is from the recipe book ‘Crowded Kitchen’ which has only produced banger after banger for recipes!

This is my official request to be casted on this t.v. show and it’s not just because I want to meet Hannah Berner. The concept is that people create their dream partner and then the show goes out and finds that person. Sign me up! In the meantime, I will be tuning in.

This past weekend I attended a Reading Retreat and I am feeling refreshed as a woman! I’m so grateful to have cool friends who can plan things like this! Reading, crafting, singing, eating, relaxing, and yapping. My dream weekend truly.
Pop Culture: Harry Styles MSG
Mr. Styles has arrived in New York and he will be there until Halloween. How do the people of NY feel knowing that Harry Styles will be amongst them for 2 months. Harry Styles is not on tour. His fans are on tour to come visit him at Madison Square Garden. He also changed up the setlist for the New York baddies. I am ready!
R: RECOMMEND: Bag Decorating
Here is one of the crafts from the Reading Retreat weekend (and also my favorite craft). It is so fun to decorate your bags. Make them fun. Make them whimsical. Make them tacky. I also did not realize how simple putting patches on was. You need to have an iron (I do not own one) and then you just press down on the patch with the iron. Literally that is it. I cannot wait to show off my new book tote!
T: TREAT: Blueberry Pie
I am a blueberry defender in every scenario. Blueberry pie is criminally underrated. This blueberry pie was actually a blueberry lemon pie from Royers Pie Haven in Round Top, TX. The place was very Jesus themed but perhaps Jesus assisted with making the pies taste as good they tasted.
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Judging a Book
To keep the book theme of this Yapple Sauce edition going, it’s time I discuss how I judge a book. They say not to judge a book by it’s cover. Wrong. There are so many cool covers out there and I’m going to appreciate the books with a cool and unique cover. That is what reels me in. As mentioned previously in my review of Beartown, I judge a book heavily on it’s ending as opposed to the beginning. There have been books where I ate up every single page and then the ending pissed me off and I didn’t like the book anymore (The Perfect Marriage) and then the opposite happened with Beartown! Not to get philosophical with you all but in my opinion, endings are more important than beginnings.
