There wasn’t anything wrong with this book and I appreciated how short it was but… I was bored. It was a cozy mystery read but not cozy enough to keep me entertained.

To have a hot girl summer, it is essential to sneak an Elin book into my line up! She is the queen of the beach read. This is a short story and I always love a short story that still executes a great plot and makes you feel! So far this has done exactly that!

Restaurant: The Cove
When in South Florida, I will be getting fish and chips. I wish I loved seafood but I don’t. Fish and chips will always be the exception. That tar tar sauce will always be put to the side. I just want it with some lemon juice and I’m set.

Music:
Creating a playlist to get the girlies dancing is a lot of pressure. It also made me realize that most of the songs that get me dancing are old songs. Thank goodness for Megan, Charli, and Slayterr for giving some new ass shaking music to the girlies. I know ‘Dancing On My Own’ is having a resurgence right now but I have BEEN loving that song and it will always get me on the dance floor. It will be featured on any dance playlist of mine without hesitation.

Podcasts: The Comment Section
D’arcy Carden was on the Comment Section and after The Five Star Weekend and this podcast episode, she has gained a new fan with me. I have now finished the show and it was so perfectly perfect. D’arcy told Drew that the women on the show became genuine friends and that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I could not accept any other answer after watching a show about female friendship.
Television: Survivor Panama
Cirie definitely wins my favorite player on Survivor so far! I love a gal with a good social game. I loved this season. Honestly Season 10 and forward so far have been straight bangers. Survivor Panama comes in at number 3 out of 12 seasons so far! I’m realizing from my top 5 seasons that a strong and entertaining cast is what I appreciate most in a season.

Oh this movie was so fun and I loved it! If you have read ‘One True Loves’ by Taylor Jenkins Reid, this movie is the light hearted version of that plot. I understand that making that plot lighthearted seems impossible because ‘One True Loves’ will rip your heart out but they did it. This was my first time watching a movie with Dua Lipa’s husband and girl I get it!!
O: OBSESSED
General: Matcha Martini
I’m not being dramatic when I say this is the best martini I have ever had in my life. It’s the ‘This Counts as Selfcare’ martini with matcha, vodka, coconut, and cream from By The Wayside. Was it $18? Yes unfortunately it was but due to the taste I am willing to let it slide.
Pop Culture: World Cup
The World Cup is over and honestly it was about time. It stared to go on for a bit too long at the end there. People are happy because Argentina didn’t win. I have no skin in the game but I will side with the people.
R: RECOMMEND: DIYing Treats
The treat table at my sister’s baby shower was truly a work of art! There were professional treats on the table but the cake and cupcakes stole the show in my opinion. They were from Walmart! My mom just added cherries and ribbon. I have been seeing lots of people DIY their own Walmart cakes on Tik Tok and I fully support.
T: TREAT: Bread Pudding
Let it be known that I am a Bread Pudding stan! If I see it on the menu I have no choice but to order it. This pretzel bread pudding was from 'Southern Yankee Crafthouse.’ Will be returning again for this sweet treat.
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Scented Trash Bags
I actually think scented trash bags make trash smell worse. I am very sensitive to smell so I could be dramatic. It feels like it turns a subtle trash smell into a very known trash smell with perfume on top of it. It’s a no from me!
YAPPY HOUR: Charging Extra for Plus Sizes is Fatphobic
I said it! And before you come at me with “well more material is used so it makes sense!” Why are the XS/S/M/L/XL all the same price? Surely the medium uses more material than an extra small. What about bra’s? All bra’s are the same price regardless of size. What about shoes? A size 8 and a size 5 cost the same amount. Do not play with me.
