Dear Gentle & Saucy Yappers,
Do not get that explosive diarrhea parasite girl. Don’t do it girl!

RANKING OF THE WEEK: Things that Never Expire (But Actually Do)

Seasonings - They expire when I run out of the seasoning
Make-Up- Much too expensive to be expiring
Perfume - Has my One Direction ‘One Moment’ perfume changed colors? Yes! But I need that for my wedding day.
Medicine - I get it but I don’t want it to expire
Mattresses - No!

R: READING
JUST READ: Small Great Things: 3.5 stars (111/217 overall ranking)
This book made me cry! Several times at that. It started to lose me towards the end. I felt like I did not need multiple perspectives in a story about racism. I definitely didn’t want the perspective from the racist himself. It was an emotional and powerful story but I just had some qualms!
CURRENTLY READING: Tokyo Express by Seicho Matsumoto

Another book club read! I think this is my first time reading a translated book, so I can cross that off my reading bucket list after this read! I’m not too far into it yet but it seems like it’s a very short book which is a nice change after last months book club read was over 800 pages.
E: EATING
Restaurant: Star Rover

I have been wanting to go to this restaurant since it opened because I love the concept of a southern themed steak dinner! Oh and they have frozen espresso martinis! Their menu is basically a bunch of meats and they all come with a salad, a bread roll, fries, and onion rings. I will forever remember that bread roll. It was A LOT OF food so I brought myself home an entire second meal. I got the Chicken Fried Chicken and also indulged in the Potato Skins as an appetizer. I am still thinking about this meal and I want to go back.
Recipe: Pesto Pasta Salad

This picture comes with a bonus recipe. I cannot vouche for the Greek Tortellini Salad but if you make it and it’s good, let a girl know! I love a pasta salad and the pesto pasta salad was a good switch up from the usual one I make!
P: PLAYING
Music:

Charli’s new album, ‘Music, Fashion, Film’ is a week away people! The people did not love her first single ‘Rock Music’ which I understand! But I do love ‘Wink Wink.’ Any song that makes me feel like the main character in a movie will get me going. Charli girl, I’m ready!
Song Recommendation: Wink Wink by Charli XCX
Podcasts: Giggly Squad
I will say it until I’m blue in the face but Paige and Hannah are discussing the things that need to be said louder. Uber will let you select having a woman driver but not let you select having a woman for delivery. Step it up! Because everyone knows that a man doing delivery is a jump scare. They do not know how to look for things. They do not understand!
Television: Five Star Weekend

Wait… a book to television adaption that I enjoy!? I haven’t finished the show yet but I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m a sucker for female friendship! 28 Summers movie adaption next please?
O: OBSESSED
General: Kelsey Pfendler

If you don’t know who Kelsey is, it’s time to learn. I cried when watching videos of her arriving to Hawaii after solo rowing 2,400 miles from California. Not only did Ms. Girl finish that trek but she also did it in record time and at a record age. She is the youngest woman and fastest woman to ever do it! Faster then all the women you ask? Nope faster then all the women AND MEN. Her Tik Tok videos at sea stressed me out but I never lost faith in her!
Pop Culture: Margaret Qualley

Margaret Qualley is SINGLE! She has separated from her husband Jack Antonoff. The headlines are saying separated instead of divorce but I assume that just means divorce is on the way. File the papers girl! Now what is going to be personally tough is how I move forward with listening to Margaret by Lana Del Rey. It will forever be a banger and stay on my playlists. Just with a sprinkle of bad vibes.
R: RECOMMEND: Substack

Substack is having her moment as an up and coming social media! If you ever wanted to read some other newsletters or articles, this is the place! Hit me up for people to subscribe to because there are some Yappers who write beautiful things on that app! I want to start posting more random and personal things on there too. Probably will be focused around hosting as my first and only post is about that. If you want to be friends on Substack, let’s do it!
T: TREAT: Walmart Dupes

Walmart doesn’t just have the clothing dupes, they also have the food dupes. If you are a fan of Canes sauce, look no further than the subtly named ‘Chicken Finger Dipping Sauce.’ It tastes the same. I was shook. I might need to do an investigative deep dive into Walmart food dupes. Stay tuned.
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Drama
I love drama. I know we aren’t supposed to love drama and people want nothing to do with it but I personally want everything to do with it. Do I want to be involved? Absolutely not, get me far away. But I am interested in purchasing a front row seat. Give me the dirty details and give me a team to root for. Don’t worry I will come with my strong opinions on the matter as well just to feel something.
YAPPY HOUR: New Hinge Feature
Calling all the single girls! Not to say anything positive about Hinge but they added a fun feature (shocking). If you go to edit your profile, there is a new section called ‘Friend’s Take.’ You can send the link to your friends and they can answer a prompt about you. They don’t automatically show up on your profile, don’t worry! Even if you don’t use the prompts, it is refreshing to see positive things on such a terrifying app such as Hinge.
