JUST READ: Yesteryear: 5 stars (7/216 overall ranking)
I had high expectations for this book based on the plot alone and it lived up to the expectations. I was hooked from the beginning. Yesteryear is a book that I want to discuss with anyone who has read it. I was left in shock at the end of the book and truly have not stopped thinking of this book as a whole.
CURRENTLY READING: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
As a Kristin Hannah lover, I am late on this one. I blame the waitlist on Libby for this one. I also feel like I have wanted to spread out my Kristin Hannah reads to cherish them because there are sadly a limited amount of them.

Restaurant: Joey Uptown
We love a restaurant that gives you complimentary champagne upon entry (although I do not enjoy champagne I respect the sentiment). I went here to celebrate one of my girlies and it was a fun girl dinner. The Cajun blackened chicken was delicious but the star of the show in my opinion was the warm potato salad that was underneath it.
Recipe: Buffalo Chicken Dip
There should be someone at the function bringing Buffalo Chicken Dip and I took that role on at the latest potluck function I attended. I love chicken but I wish it didn’t gross me out to cook with it but I still prevailed. I used a Rotisserie Chicken, Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, and Colby Jack shredded cheese on top.

Audrey Hobert is having her moment and I’m fully in support of it. If you have spent more than 60 seconds on Tik Tok you have heard one of her songs and if you are chronically online you probably saw her jumping around on a trampoline during her music festival performances. I’m late to the party but I’m going to live an Audrey Hobert summer!

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as a guest on the Comment Section made me a new stan? He really just seems like a wholesome guy who cares a lot about his daughters. The fact that he was so appreciative of how Drew calls out men and bigots was all I needed to know about him. Might just go watch the new Moana now. The Rock propaganda is working on me!!
Television: Survivor Guatamala
Summer is allowing me to fly through these Survivor seasons. This was a good season don’t get me wrong but I did not need to see Steph and Bobby John back on my screen so quickly. I did like the winner of this season and Rafe is a gem! This season ranked 5/11 for me so far!
O: OBSESSED
General: Hot Dog Party
My biggest regret from this day is that I didn’t eat more hot dogs. Hot dogs deserve to be celebrated. People only remember them around the fourth of July but I remember them always.
Pop Culture: Taylor Swift Wedding
I don’t think anything else in Pop Culture could go down this past weekend because everyone was at THE wedding. People have a lot of opinions about this wedding and we knew that they would. Would I spend my money differently if I had that amount of money? Absolutely. But it’s not my wedding. I’m giving Taylor Swift the same grace I would give any bride - they should be able to celebrate their wedding however they like and I hope there were celebrities drunk hooking up with each other as if it was a normal wedding. BUT I am going to have to shit on this sign because was this the only option, the only font? It feels like we gave AT&T free advertisement and I’m not sure they deserved that.
R: RECOMMEND: Stone Fruit
It is Stone Fruit Summer people! Stone fruit is in season and I highly recommend going to pick some up on your next grocery hauls. If I had to influence you towards a certain stone fruit, it would be a peach. THEY ARE SO JUICY RIGHT NOW. Sorry to get so passionate about peaches on the hundredth edition of this newsletter but peaches are feeling very special to me right now.
T: TREAT: Everyday Purse
Luckily I have purse(s). Before this purchase I did not have an everyday purse. I love switching out my purses to match my outfits but I yearned for a purse to throw all my shit in on the daily. The closest I had to that was my beloved Baggus but their patterns don’t always mesh well with my outfits. The Free People Baby Emerson spoke to me but it’s a bit spendy (even though it is a dupe of the Balenciaga $3k City Bag). So I decided to go with the dupe of a dupe: The BDG Cindy Shoulder Bag. I am so obsessed with her and cannot wait to decorate her.
SAUCY TAKE OF THE WEEK: Meta AI Glasses
I don’t think I am interested in associating with someone who uses Meta AI glasses. I think it says enough about the person. It’s giving Cybertruck in a smaller package. So if you are interested in purchasing Meta AI glasses, don’t wear that shit around me.
YAPPY HOUR: Corporate America & Trends
I hate when a pop culture moment happens and the greed from Corporate America ruins it. For example, the couple who climbed the Empire State Building. If I see one more company advertising themselves on their protest flag I’m going to lose it. THIS ISN’T ABOUT YOU. STOP TRYING TO MAKE IT ABOUT YOU.
